Set you Preview Image Size in Settings>Image to 1920px.

Even when your overlay file isn't displayed in Capture One, it still loads with each shot. This can cause frustratingly slow performance, particularly if you have a big hidden overlay from a previous shot, as Capture One loads it with every new shot regardless of its visibility.
